Introducing People™, the full-featured personal information manager for the Macintosh that organizes client, personal and calendar information better than any other solution. See "People™ Features at a Glance" in the manual to discover the wealth of features in People™.
Installation
Just open and go! No installation procedure is required. People™ does not place any extensions or preference files into your system software.
This copy is a fully-functioning version of People™. After the free 30-day evaluation, an additional 30-day registration grace period is allotted. During this time you must register People™ to receive a key code that permanently activates your copy. The price is $29.95. After 60 days, many key features will require the key code to work.
Current users can transfer their existing data simply by opening the new copy. People™ will detect an existing copy and launch into a transfer process.
Register Your Software
Please remember that People™ is shareware. This means that after you have used People™ for 30 days and plan to use it further, you must send in the $29.95 registration fee. See "Registering Your Copy of People™" in the manual or select "Register People™" from the File menu in the software for details.
The Manual
The manual is provided to get you started and explain how to use the many features of People™. The comprehensive balloon help feature in People™ can answer your questions as they come up.

Known Conflicts
Suitcase MenuFonts and MenuFonts conflict with some applications including People™. These files are commonly found as part of a software package called Suitcase version 8 or later by Extensis. Problems encountered can include a warning, a reduced screen, a small scroll window and sometimes a memory error in People™. Follow these 5 steps to fix the conflict: 1. Select "~Suitcase MenuFonts™" from the Control Panels menu under the Apple menu, 2. Click on the "Set Prefs" button in the resulting window, 3. Click the "Add" button, 4. Navigate to People™ in the dialog box, 5. Double click on People™ to add it. Conflict solved!
ACTION Menus™ by Power On Software conflicts with some applications including People™. Problems encountered can include a warning, a reduced screen, a small scroll window and sometimes a memory error in People™. Follow these 5 steps to fix the conflict: 1. Select "ACTION Utilities" from the Control Panels menu under the Apple menu, 2. Click on the "General" tab located at the top of the resulting window (If there is no “General” tab, click once on the Action Menus™ icon in the lower box.), 3. Click the "Add" button and select “Other...”, 4. Navigate to People™ in the dialog box, 5. Double click on People™ to add it and close the window. Conflict solved!
Anti-virus features can initially cause People™ to open slowly or distract from some of its maintenance activities, until the anti-virus software is taught to recognize People™. The anti-virus software will most likely ask you to select “Remember” when prompted, to permanently recognize People™. Sometimes the preferences feature of the anti-virus software will need to be set to recognize People™.
AutoMenus Pro may cause an undesirable reduced window in People™. There is no fix for this, and the maker of AutoMenus Pro is no longer in business.
FastFontMenu version 2 conflicts with some applications including People™. A patch is available at the maker’s Web site.
Other Menu Utilities that extend the Macintosh menu features may be the cause of a conflict not explained above. These types of utilities can usually be adjusted by selecting their preferences file from the Control Panels folder and adding People™ to the exceptions list found there.
